Poetry Expo 2023, the global digital poetry fair organized by the European platform Versopolis and entirely dedicated to poetry, human creativity and literature, opened its doors once again.

Under the slogan Versing Futures: Unraveling Unity Through Poetry, Versopolis' digital initiative will host events and projects of more than 90 organizations, festivals and individuals representing the poetic achievements of different nations, cultures and languages.

Poetry Expo aims to inspire social change and promote the potential of literature and the arts to address the pressing issues of our time, such as the climate crisis, technological progress, mental health and social inequalities.

“At Poetry Expo 2024, we strive to create a space that encourages free expression, shares collective and individual achievements in culture and literature, and opens dialogue on critical global issues. Our newly selected five central themes will focus on the sub-themes Climate crisis and poetry, Technological innovations in literature, Narratives about mental health in poetry, Literature as a tool for social equality and Global unity and collective futures," says Aljaž Koprivnikar, coordinator of the Versopolis platform .

The opening event took place this year in the form of a podcast, in which the curators and organizers of both seasons of the festival, Marko Pogačar and Pep Olona, ​​and the moderator of the Versopolis podcast, Dr. Mitja Drab.
