UAE Team ADQ will be represented by six riders at the UCI Road World Championships Wollongong 2022 in Australia. For them and for the team, this is recognition of the excellent work they have done throughout the season.

Selected by their national teams, the six athletes will take part in the Road Race on Saturday 24th September on a route of 164.3 km and a total elevation gain of 2,433 metres.

A very scenic route between beach, cliffs, sub-tropical rainforest and which will have its highlights in the climb of Mount Keira, the most challenging. The final circuit of Wollongong City (to be repeated six times) with the finish line in the heart of the Australian city.

The Spanish champion Mavi Garcia and Italians Marta Bastianelli and Sofia Bertizzolo have shown excellent condition in recent races. The same applies to Slovenian Eugenia Bujak, while her compatriot Urska Pintar is returning to racing after an injury suffered at the Tour de France Femmes. It will be a historic day for our team and for the UAE nation as for the first time in history the country will be present at a UCI Cycling World Championships thanks to Safiya Alsayegh. The 20-year-old national champion opens new path for her generation and the youth in UAE by being the first pro-cyclist of her country to participate in the World Championship.
