your Versopolis teamEuropean Poetry Festival 2023Versopolis at the opening nightWhat better way to kick off the European Poetry Festival 2023 in London, especially during one of the biggest book fairs in the city - London Book Fair, than with a Versopolis event?

The EPF returns in April 19th for one of the grandest celebrations of European poetry ever to take place in the UK. Eleven events over three weeks will see over one hundred poets from across the continent and the UK come together for a celebration of liveness, collaboration and cross-linguistic collective inventiveness.

The opening night will be a special Camarade event, where Versopolis poets from across the UK and visiting from multiple nations present new works made with poet pairs - a series of premiere performances of literary and experimental poetry. Peter Zavada, Aušra Kaziliūnaitė, Billy Ramsell and Aljaž Koprivnikar will represent the orange colours.

Throughout the European Poetry Festival 2023 there will be appearances by other poets who have participated in the Versopolis project including Zuzana Husarova on April 22nd, Laura Accerboni and Sascha Garzetti on April 26th, Eduard Escoffet and Tomica Bajsic on April 29th, Dominique de Groen on May 4th, Maria Barnas on May 6th, and many more.

If you're in London, come see us at the brilliant Iklectik Artlab in Waterloo.

And that implies looking not only at what surrounds us, the problems, the faults and failings of humanity, but also at others who inhabit the same space of creative responsibility, our contemporaries, in the sense that they are alive at the same time as we are. >> Read articleThe power of the word

MOVED BY VERSOPOLISGlorjana Veber and Ana BrnardićVersopolis authors Glorjana Veber (Slovenia) and Ana Brnardić (Croatia) traveled to Bratislava, Slovakia in March to participate in International Ars Poetica Poetry Festival. After the festival, Veber and Brnardić shared their personal experience with the festival and Versopolis platform.

"My experience of Ars Poetica festival: huge and warm energy of its’ director and poet Martin Solotruk, love for the experimental merging of poetry and music, poetry and performance; warm and engaged audience, so many poetry lovers. Never had I been for such a short time somewhere while having so many fantastic impressions on where I’ve been, what I’ve been a part of or whom I’ve met", writes Versopolis poetess Ana Brnardić.
