Yesterday, the grand opening of KOREA IMPORT FAIR - KIF 2023 took place in Seoul. The keynote speakers were Korean Minister for Trade, Mr. Dukgeun Ahn, Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Ms. Tanja Fajon, as well as the President of the Korea Importers Association, Mr. Byung-kwan Kim (on the photo with Mr. Verbič).

Yesterday, the grand opening of KOREA IMPORT FAIR - KIF 2023 took place in Seoul. The keynote speakers were Korean Minister for Trade, Mr. Dukgeun Ahn, Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Ms. Tanja Fajon, as well as the President of the Korea Importers Association, Mr. Byung-kwan Kim (on the photo with Mr. Verbič). The high-profile event was attended by numerous representatives of companies and institutions as well as almost the entire diplomatic corps.
The high guests first visited the Slovene booth, which is right next to the entrance of the fairgrounds. They took note of the booth of the business-investor programs of the VZMD: Invest to Slovenia (investo.si) and International Investors' Network (investo.international), where they were greeted by the VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič. The numerous members of the Slovene economic delegation - accompanying Minister Fajon and Minister Han, the Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, on their official visit to Korea - have in addition to the fair also attended a seminar on the business environment and investment opportunities in Slovenia. The latter was organized by Public Agency SPIRIT SLOVENIA and the Korean partner institution KOTRA. In the evening, the members of the delegation also attended a grand opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Seoul and a reception on the occasion of the Slovenian National Day.
The economic delegation is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia, both Ministries and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Seoul. Mr. Verbič is participating as part of the Asian tour of VZMD's international business-investor programs: investo.si and investo.international, after having visited Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Singapore.
