UAE Team ADQ is pleased to close the announcement of the 2023 roster with the contract extension of Marta Bastianelli. The 35-year-old has decided to continue her professional career and contribution to the team. UAE Team ADQ is proud to have secured one of the greatest talents of the women’s peloton for an additional year.
“I am really happy to continue with the team, we decided together that I can contribution with my experience to the young and new riders for an additional season. I would like to end my career with another Grand Tour, and a victory, then we will decide with the team the final step of my career. In the meantime, I'm proud and excited to be part of the overall UAE Team ADQ project again. The philosophy of the UAE Team ADQ is more aligned with my values of sharing knowledge and always go further. For the last chapter of my career, I will as always give my best and to win again,” said Marta.
Her expertise and attitude are a strong added value and crucial for the entire team. Marta is a heroine and a role model to youth and women as a world-level athlete, a woman, and a mother. She is a source of inspiration for her youngest teammates, the women cycling community and she is perfectly embodying the values of UAE Team ADQ.
In her impressive career, the Italian rider has won a series of major titles. The World Championship, as well as a European Championship and Tour of Flanders. Under UAE Team ADQ’s colors, she was further rejuvenated and grabbed seven victories including the Vuelta CV Feminas in Spain, and an exceptional second place in the stage of Tour de France Femmes - to list only a few.

She has been a multi-winner for our team, and we are very glad that she has decided to race with UAE Team ADQ for another year. For us, she is a pillar of the squad, and her behavior and experience are priceless for the youngest riders of the team”.
