Four victories in three days for the UAE Development Team. Once again the Italian Carlotta Cipressi conquered the third stage after having also won the second stage. The race was completely different from yesterday, because Carlotta didn't break away, but she won in the sprint after the exceptional work of the UAE Development Team to close the gap from Angela Oro, an athlete who tried to break away and who was resumed a few kilometers from the finish.
Thanks to this victory, Carlotta Cipressi won the general classification leader's jersey, the best young rider's jersey and the points classification jersey. Simply a triumph. A triumph for Carlotta Cipressi, a triumph for the UAE Development Team which also won the first stage thanks to Sara Fiorin.
"I didn't expect to win today too - explains Carlotta Cipressi - today we wanted to defend the leader's jersey. My teammate Emma Redaelli went on the break with six other athletes, then when Emma broke away, all the other teammates they worked to close the gap. On the last climb Yuliia Biriukova and Federica Piergiovanni were fantastic, they helped me and we controlled the race. In the final I managed to win the sprint".
